Located in the Boston Seaport District near the Boston Harbor, The Envoy Hotel embraces the modern with a tech-savvy, socially chic, hip, and fun boutique hotel experience. Inside, its restaurants are buzzy and brilliant: one located upstairs called Lookout, and the other downstairs, named Outlook. Lookout is the city's premier outdoor destination, showcasing expansive views of the Boston skyline and waterfront. At Outlook, food is aforethought, handcrafted and highly creative, and whisked from kitchens with a recipe to delight. In the colder months, Lookout installs its exclusive pop-up igloo bar that consists of six heated igloos to keep you warm, making this a year-round, day and night destination. They are primarily given out on a first-come, first-serve basis, so arrive early to ensure one is available. Each sits eight to ten people comfortably, and fleece blankets are provided to kick up the cozy factor. One of its signature traits is the ability to call for a drink by the press of a button, which will illuminate the igloo and notify a cocktail server of your request.
The dress code at Lookout and Outlook is contemporary, casual, and classy; baseball hats, sweatpants, sleeveless shirts for men, and swimwear are prohibited, and you must wear shoes.
Lookout is The Envoy’s own slice of paradise up in the clouds. Its uniquely shaped bar is complemented with outdoor and indoor, intimate seating for groups, as well as glowing fire pits. The radiating light and glass make up a modern, forward-thinking look.
The interior of Outlook is spacious and uncluttered. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors offer a view of the patio outdoors, and they retract in the warmer weather. The opposite wall is adorned with funky light fixtures and spherical bulbs intended to represent the city lights. A large, rectangular bar is the room's focal point, tastefully displaying liquor bottles on shelves in the center. To top it off, guests have a full view of the on-goings in the glass-enclosed kitchen.
Add up the unique shape, texture, drinks, cocktails, and innovative bar menus, and you'll begin to see what makes Lookout and Outlook so special. Guests particularly enjoy the friendly staff and sunset views and say the hotel makes for a great spot to enjoy post-work drinks, weekend brunch, and day-or-night wining and dining.
